Nokia N97: Pure Delight...Whatsay?

Nokia surprised everyone with the touchscreen slider N97. It’s like an iPhone or a Storm. But dare I say... better? Nokia saw what people want nowadays and adapted. After trying out their first touchscreen on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the Nokia brainiacs where ready for the next big thing. The Nokia N97 will certainly be the flagship smartphone of Nokia for quite a while. Here are some of its features, which will make you choose it:
  • a 3.5 inch widescreen 16:9 touchscreen
  • haptic feedback
  • full QWERTY slideout keyboard
  • 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens and dual LED flash
  • up to 32 GB of storage
  • up to 16GB additional memory via microSD
  • Symbian S60 5th Edition
  • up to 37 hours of music / up to 4.5 hours of video
  • A-GPS and GPS
  • HSDPA, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, stereo Bluetooth connectivity
  • a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Phone will cost 550 Euros before taxes and subsidies and it will be launched in the first half of 2009. What do you think? Like what you’ve seen so far?

  1. I am addicted to a Nokia. I have used a Nokia 6600 and I loved it. Then followed Nokia 9500 communicator. And am dying to get this one. I think it is absolutely worth the price!

  2. This phone makes my N-Series seem neolithic. Way above my budget though :(

  3. Definitely sounds promising... but I hope that it's not as slow as the 6600... the 16GB of memory is definitely attractive to music fans like me, and so is the touch screen.

  9. I am sure it would not be delicate...considering Nokia phones being strong enough to withstand every fall, blow, or throw I have made my phone experience till date...

  14. I am not too sure what segments the N97 would be targeting, or will it plan on reducing the price like every other Nokia phone after some time of its launch. Good stuff though, sleek and sexy!

  16. Well, I think a phone like N97 will definitely have a premium segment in mind, and that particular segment does not mind shelling extra bucks for the features and the quality they get for it!

  17. well, the phone looks too good equipped with all modern features but i'd like to spend my money on it after getting a positive feedback frm different sources(after it's launched).i believe customers won't like to compromise with any features after spending a hefty amount

  19. i doubt whether it wll make an impact in indian market due to stiff competition frm china..chinese phone with all such features are vry cheap so i guess ppl wont buy it only due to its brand name...

  20. so after reviewing it for an hour,i can conclude(though my personal views) that it's the best phone which wll meet all the reqiurements..but i wonder who wll buy it in such a global meltdown period...nokia should delay its launch

  21. I think I disagree....I'd definitely want to be one of the first few users and flaunt it around!

  22. Hey wanna be mba, dnt even talk about chinese phones man. They are so pathetic n unreliable! I am sure by now, there would be hazaar versions of N97 in the market even before its launched, and all of them useless!
