Eye Candy...!!

As demanded by you guys, these are some sample pictures which have been taken from an N95 which also has a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens. The actual size of these pictures is far far bigger than what blogspot can accomodate on the page, thus for your convenience, I have given links on every picture to click and lead you to the actual size.

Pure treat for the eyes, isn't it?

Search Google for more and more images, or lazy souls like me can click here to directly visit this website with many luring pictures clicked by an N95! Can it get better? Yes it just did!

  3. Well I googled and got some pics in the night mode which are equally amazing too!!
And I believe it can be a perfect substitute for a digicam!

  5. I think I am gonna throw my Canon and replace it with this sexy thing!Easy to use, and carry it around in my pocket, and with same features!

  6. I agree that wat n97 brings is gud..but Third Generation cellular phones must also be upgradeable over the air to allow more internal features to be added without the need for going into a workshop. When roaming, a user might be able to use the settings, keyboard shortcuts, and commands they normally use on their home network. The user interface will be completely customizable, so that even if your swap phones, you'll still have the same menus and numbers. Last but not least, the boffins predict that the new generation phones will be under 100g, and have up to 10 days standby time.
..I guess for the tech savvy the n97 has a long way to go

  7. Thats pretty cool actually....This is the thing which will stop people thinking of a phone as something you throw away/replace when a better one comes along, but rather as something which can grow with you as your needs change… If you find you need the new hardware, then your software will still be familiar!

  8. Here are some reviews........
"The hybrid design is likely to be controversial. Critics will say the N97 looks like a shotgun marriage between an iPhone and Nokia's Communicator, the brick-like, computer/phone that the company has continually updated since its launch in the late 1990s. In fact, the N97 is about as compact as the iPhone, though a bit thicker."

    Information Week

"It's the most exciting product to come from Nokia in some time. Product managers were calling it the 'Facebook Phone' because it's aimed at mobile social networkers and multimedia mavens. If you want a device that does nearly everything, this is it."

    Computerworld

"[The N97's] specs are great but are also not absurdly better than iPhone. Nothing will be a game changer for most consumers, especially when not integrated as well as they are on the iPhone. There is no killer app feature...The user interface is clunky...it seems way more complex than necessary, and slow...There are websites devoted to the iPhone interface. The N97 is just another face in the crowd...It will be available during the middle of next year. By then the next iPhone will be right around the corner, liikely with these functions and more."

    Cnet

"We really like its design -- the screen is large and sharp, and it rotates depending on which way you hold it up. But the N79's keypad left us a little less impressed as it's too flat for our liking and squashed together, making texting fiddly at times."

    PC World

"Storage-wise, the N97 does very well. The phone comes with 32GB of on-board memory - that is twice the amount of memory the most expensive iPhone brings. As an extra, the capacity can be extended with microSD cards of up to 16GB, ranking up to a potential 48GB of storage on the N97."

    ZDNet

"Nokia's N97 has some sweet specs – it supports up to 48GB of storage, has a 5-megapixel camera, music support and DVD quality video capture. The rub: The N97 isn't what you'd call affordable. It has an estimated retail price of EURO550 before taxes and subsidies...The N97 may be the coolest gadget on the planet, but there's no way I'm paying that much for it. Overall, the N97 may be the future netbook or laptop/smartphone hybrid, but it sure isn't priced like one."

    The Register

"What I found most impressive is that users simply looking for a no-nonsense, practical tool will find the N97 is worth a second look...There's a drawback -- [the widgets are] cluttered and each widget doesn't really present very much useful information. It's the CNN approach to information overload - just overload the user with even more."

    Wired

"Fitting in all that gear has made the N97 a little chubby. There's another problem, too -- the handset won't be available for another six months, time enough for the rest of the world to move on."

    InfoSync

"The Nokia N97 seems to have a lot of promise, but that's all it is right now. Nokia seems focused on the phone's location-based services, which is a wise move, but seems to be ignoring the larger picture. Nokia Maps does offer some welcome functionality improvements, but nothing we haven't seen before in other mobile navigation software. Meanwhile, Nokia's message is so centered on the messaging, the GPS location services and the cloud-based Ovi services that they seem to be wholly ignoring the fact that this is the first touch-sensitive Nseries device, and it will be entering a crowded and competitive market.".

  9. Whoa Whoa Whoa!!! Someone seems to have too much to say....Anyway, well I am not too sure if you're aware of the widgets which you can customize for your main screen...if this has come, then theres definitely more to follow!!but I guess you might be interested to know Amulya!

  15. Nice. Though I still don't think digicams will become redundant once the N97 is launched- they have a charm of their own.

  16. I kind of agree with Dela...but see you cant carry a digicam everywhere every time... so N97 with its excellent cam will be sufficient for most of our photography needs...AND the best part it'll always be there in our pocket ...so we'll never miss any moment good enough to be captured!

  18. I totally agree with what Jack said. Though digicams will have a charm of their own, but if a sleeker smaller device turns up to be as good, then they definitely have a threat!
